History

From Fluoron to Spectrum Advanced.

How It Started

Fluoron began in 1986 with one product, one customer, and a craftsman’s eye for engineered surfaces — hand-laying fluoropolymer coatings onto industrial roll covers in a converted Elkton workshop.

How It’s Going

Today, Spectrum Advanced operates three integrated platforms — Fluoron, Radiant, and AEGIS — serving Hershey, 3M, International Paper, SpaceX, Northrop Grumman, and over a hundred more across paper, packaging, aerospace, and energy.
